We picked up all of the suspension parts from Vansteel and began assembling the rolling chassis. We used a wire wheel to clean up the reusable bolts then painted them with a natural steel finish paint. At this point we all know we are going overboard for this car, but once you start it is hard to stop. "While we're at it syndrome".
This shot is a close up of the rear bearing assembly and parking brakes. The quality of the parts we received from Vansteel is amazing. We also started cleaning up the engine bay. We sprayed it with purple power, let it soak and scraped and sanded the firewall. We also cleaned up the A/C lines with steel wool. Next we'll be painting it with Krylon semi-flat black paint.
