This is a mostly original and unmolested real numbers matching survivor corvette in very good low mileage condition. See pics for numbers matching confirmation. I get lots of compliments on it with it’s uncommon unique Hilton Brown Metallic color
Numbers matching L82 engine
The original factory numbers matching Rochester QuadraJet carb (just rebuilt and retuned) still sits on top of the original numbers matching aluminum intake manifold (gasket just replaced)
Original Muncie M21 close ratio 4 spd
All original Oyster leather interior
Not your typical C3. One of about 200 made in 1979 optioned with Hilton Brown, Oyster, L82, 4 spd equipment combination
All gauges work including the clock, wipers work, headlights go up/down as they should
There is a period correct Alpine audio system w/ amplifier (under center console) and 4 Alpine speakers. Retractable power antenna
GM slotted aluminum wheels, I do have the original Rally wheels with brand new tires (255 front, 275 rear) as well and will be included
50,496 original miles(just flipped 50k this Spring)
The smog/emissions equipment has been removed but has all been retained incase buyer wishes to return it to stock(catalytic, sensors, iron rams head exhaust manifolds etc)
New Hooker long tube ceramic coated headers with a custom Pypes stainless steel 2.5in dual exhaust system
I have $7500 in receipts for mechanical updates and can be provided
It just received a full tune up, oil/fluids change, new plugs and wires, and a preventative intake manifold gasket replacement and carb rebuild this Spring. It also was performance tuned on a Dyno. Now pulls almost 240HP to the rear wheels, equals about 275HP to the flywheel which is how Chevrolet reported HP in 1979. I have the dyno report and can provide it
It’s been completely gone through by a professional classic car mechanic. It starts, drives, shifts and stops great and currently needs nothing to go drive and enjoy immediately
Mostly original paint so has some blemishes and imperfections consistent with age but shines up great still and is a great 10 footer as is. This is a great driver car with quality performance upgrades and maintenance, or a perfect candidate to take to the next level with a repaint which was my eventual plan. The birdcage and frame are in great condition. From what I gathered from the prior owner this car has always been garaged. There is one small crack in one of the mirrored t-top panels since I bought it but it has never leaked so I have not needed to address it. Usual minor driver’s seat wear. I hate to sell it but we’ve decided to purchase a 4 seater so the whole family can enjoy the hobby. Clean MA title in my name in hand. Asking $14,995
