1968 T-Top
Engine: 427, 95,288 Miles, Color: Rally Red with Red interior.
Beautiful 1968 Rally Red on red T-Top with the unusual combination of the 400 HP 427 triple duce Holley carbureted Tri-Power mated with the 400 Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission. Matching number car that I've owned for 36 years. Always garaged, and well taken care of, this is a fine example of a 68 big block. Power brakes, power steering, AM/FM radio, 308 Positraction, and factory wheel covers as the build sheet reflects. Vacuum operated lights and wiper panel that actually work, and I did upgrade to leather seats. As you can see on the build sheet, all Tri-Power cars start out as a 390 HP 427 and get the 390 to 400 HP option added as they go down the line. The build sheets were glued to the top of the gas tank at the factory, and if they weren't found in time, they were lost. Many years ago I was able to recover this one just in time. Anyone looking for a numbers matching 1968 Tri-Power will be happy with this car.

Welcome to THE VETTE NET - the first and only specialized Corvette Brokerage Network, in business since 1998. Whether you are buying or selling a Vette, we offer you our extensive knowledge and commitment to help make your transaction pleasant and professional. THE VETTE NET is a proud Lifetime Business Member of the National Corvette Museum. The L88 option was the Holy Grail at the time, being offered as an RPO (regular production option) for the 1967 to 1969 models, as a comprehensive race package... Cost was quite prohibitive and just a few left a factory equipped this way. In today's market, fine examples are bringing north of 300K. Our offer is a minutely re-created replica of a 1968 L88 Coupe. It started its life as a 327/350 Silver Coupe with manual transmission and the body has 56K miles (in storage since 1985). The new engine is "over the counter" crate L88 (last 3-digits of casting = 959), correct cylinder heads for 1969 L88, Aluminum 074 round exhaust port, intake manifold 198, 1967 L88 3418-A carburetor. Engine has Lunatisolid roller cam (LSA 106, LIFT 695, duration 310, intake 310 exhaust, valve lash 22 intake/24 exhaust, roller lifters, Crane gold roller rockers. Has Hooker Chrome side pipes. Transmission is a M20 Muncie, original 3.70 positraction rear end. Also: new fuel tank, new fuel lines, new brake lines, new Stainless Steel emergency brakes, new calipers, new American Racing wheels with radial Redline tires. Pretty much everything was recently gone through and is in funtioning order: vacuum operated headlights, all gauges and instruments work, clock works, all lights work... Body features the original Silver paint which has the appropriate patina and quite a few scars and is now ready for your choice of paint. Hood is a correct L88-style with the proper cold air cowl induction function. Interior is original with exception of the new carpet just installed. A lot of attention and dedication was placed in this car in order to be as close as possible to the original. Here is your chance to own a tribute to a legendary model of yesteryear, give it a new paintjob, then win shows and admiration! 1969 Convertible
Engine: 427, 70,000 Miles, Color: Red with Red interior.
I have owned this rare numbers matching 427 tri power for about 12 years. 70,000 original miles. Restored the interior, new glass, new chrome and the body and paint are near perfect. Never had interest in showing the vette but you certainly could. The previous owner had it for 26 years, it had a tick in the engine, and given his connections with GM, had it completely torn down and rebuilt at 40,000 miles in 1987. I had the transmission rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. I am particular about my cars so the suspension springs were changed, bushings etc. Mechanically it's like new. Always meticulously maintained and garaged. It's time for a new owner to enjoy. I will assist the buyer with shipping.
