The final year for the C3 and the first full production year at the Bowling Green Assembly plant, 1982 was a banner year for the Corvette. This car represents this stunning achievement with its understated, yet mysterious Silver/Charcoal paint scheme. Paint is older, but still overall very good. Chrome outside door handles show very well, with just the very slightest signs of pitting beginning to form. Weatherstripping appears to be new and is extremely soft and pliable. Both glass t-tops have had a locking mechanism added. This 1982 Corvette wears a set of slotted aluminum wheels with radial tires. Interior is overall very nice on this 1982 Corvette; dash pad shows is free from cracks. Steering wheel is non-original, but still shows a Corvette logo horn button and matches the rest of the interior. A set of Kenwood 6x9 speakers sit in the back. Seats are in very good condition, showing no cracking, rips, or tears. Carpet is brand new. Engine compartment is overall very correct, with a remanufactured a/c compressor and a recent remanufactured alternator. Additionally, the air conditioning system has been converted to the newer R134a refrigerant. Original mufflers have given way to a set of resonated exhaust tips with large polished rectangular outlets, which look very nice with the paint scheme. Overall, this is an excellent Crossfire car that needs nothing but minor cosmetic details to be ready to show!
