Production continued to grow over the previous years for the ninth consecutive model year with 22,229 corvettes built: 8,304 Corvette Coupes and 13,925 Corvette Convertibles. Original pricing for the 1964 Corvette Coupe was $4,252. The 1964 Corvette Convertible was for sale priced slightly lower at $4,037. The 1964 Corvette featured 4 verisons of its 327 cubic inch engines including a fuel injected 327 ci with 375 hp: 327 ci 250 hp base engine The 1964 Corvette Coupe featured one rear glass panel instead of the split-window style of the previous year. The vents were removed from the hood but the indentations remained, making the hood unique to the 1964 Corvette model year.
