1978 Silver Anniversary Edition with Oyster leather interior. Very good mostly original condition with just 40,xxx miles from new. Uniquely equipped with rare L82 + M21 4-speed, 25th Anniversary package, AM/FM/CB, AC, rear window defogger, 225/70 R15 white letter tires, and convenience group. Built July 12th, 1978 and sold new at Yenko Chevrolet in McMurray, PA. 3 PA owners from new to 2022 when moved to MI with (current) owner #4.

Exterior: Mostly original silver and charcoal paint in very good condition. Has some very light spiderwebs on front bumper. Usual 1978 paint quality issues throughout plus some stone chips and scratches consistent with its age. Excellent gaps. All bonding strips intact. Rear fascia repainted in 1993 (have receipt). Charcoal appears to have been repainted rear of the doors. 1 very small body repair on inside of right rear quarter just in front of marker light (photo in drobox album). 4 correct Power Beam headlights. New correct reproduction small letter Polysteel tires with ~150 miles on them. Overall 9-9.5 out of 10.

Interior: Replacement seat trim and carpet in late 90's, new Delco battery spring of 2023, most glovebox items including original manual, Original keys plus 1 repop judging set plus a 3rd set, Light wear consistent with age. Overall 9.5 out of 10.

Engine Compartment: Matching numbers L82, Stamp pad mis-stamped at plant and 1 digit off from VIN. Correct VIN stamped above oil filter. Runs great. Starts right up and no smoke. Crank, clutch, and bearings replaced in 1989 (about 9k miles ago). Some paint missing from block, heads, and valve covers. repop plug wires, original carb, brake booster, radiator (recored), ignition shields, and more. Overall: 8.5 out of 10.

Chassis: Aging gracefully as consistent with Benchmark-type cars. matching numbers M21 transmission with same mis-stamp as engine. Correct VIN right next to the wrong one. Light surface rust. Solid frame and bird cage with no rot. many factory chalk marks in place including a portion of frame stencil, Original spare tire, Original exhaust from heads to cat, replacement exhaust behind cat, Overall: 8-8.5 out of 10.

Operations: Everything works. HVAC control can be slow to move from setting-to-setting, but gets there. Vacuum system and overrides work properly. AC recharged with old school R12 in spring 2023. Drives straight and stops straight.

Documentation: Tons of documents back to 1989 including vehicle invoice, repop window sticker, numerous receipts, 1997 title, previous owner's notes, and more, NCRS, Bloomington, and MCACN judging sheets. All stored in a 3-ring binder.

Sale includes all judging awards, set of aftermarket clear T-Tops, car cover, NCRS judging guides, and several removed parts.
